INVEST - Awaken - Our Next Generation 24/7 Intercession Event
Twenty years ago, two dozen members of Frontiers met together to worship and intercede for the Muslim world. That prayer meeting grew and has become one of the most popular events on the calendar with over a thousand gathering annually for several days of 24/7 prayer and worship.
It’s been our passion to see prayer raised up in the UK among the next generation for the nations.
This July we partnered with '24-7 Prayer' to run a similar event, ‘Awaken’, for our growing PrepSteps1 community; a weekend of dedicated intercession and worship with three goals:
1. To awaken to what we can do in prayer
2. To awaken the Muslim world to Jesus
3. To awaken to how the UK church can respond
The 24-7 Prayer leadership said our call to ask if we could use their premises for Awaken was an answer to their prayers. They’d been seeking the Lord about how to engage younger generations with prayer and mission. Once we shared the vision with our PrepSteppers the event booked up faster than anything we’ve run before!

We want to bless our young people, many of whom are students, by helping with the finances. Our goal is a £4,000 fund to cover most of the event's costs and ensure those who need financial support can receive a subsidy.
